German Foreign Ministry To Belarusian Authorities: Truth Cannot Be Banned

The German Foreign Ministry reacted to recognising the Deutsche Welle Belarus as an "extremist formation".
The German Federal Foreign Office reacted to recognising the Belarusian office of the German media company Deutsche Welle (DW) as an "extremist formation" on April 29.
The Belarusian authorities "are trying with all their might to intimidate and silence journalists and the media," Germany believes.
The German Foreign Ministry called it "another piece of the mosaic in Lukashenka's arsenal of repressions."
"The truth cannot be banned," the German Foreign Ministry wrote.

On April 29, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus recognized as an "extremist formation" a group of citizens "from among the creators, administrators and other participants of Internet resources under the general name "DW Belarus".
