In Russian Federation, explosions occurred in Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh on the night of 1 May. Representatives of local authorities in the latter locality spoke about the threat of drone attacks.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Telegram of the Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev.

Voronezh

The explosion in the area of Voronezh sounded at about 02:20 local time.

Shortly before that, the head of the Voronezh region said that on the territory of the region ‘the danger of UAV attack has been declared’.

‘Please remain calm. Air defence forces are on alert,’ the official said. Watch for further notifications from the regional government or the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Information about the night explosions in the city is also reported by the Russian edition of Astra.

‘Residents of Voronezh report explosions,’ the publication points out.

Later, the governor announced the shooting down of an aeroplane-type drone.

According to him, the drone was ‘detected and shot down’ by on-duty air defence forces and rREB means in the Voronezh region, and that there are no preliminary casualties and destruction on the ground.

Rostov-on-Don

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel of ‘News of Rostov-on-Don’ wrote about explosions that were heard near the settlement.

‘Locals report that thon Severny and Voenved they heard a loud bang. There was no official information,’ the publication said.

Ryazan Region

Already in the morning about the attack of UAVs this night was also announced in the Ryazan region

According to the governor of the region Pavel Malkov, the region ‘was attacked by a drone’.

‘According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, an inspection is being carried out,’ the Russian official said.
