Shoigu Not Wanted At Negotiations In Chinese Parliament

The new head of the Russian Security Council was humiliated.

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu was not wanted at the talks in the Chinese parliament, Kommersant special correspondent Andrei Kolesnikov said in a report on the visit of the Russian delegation to Beijing.

According to the newspaper, they did not want to let Shoigu into the House of People's Assemblies. The organisers were not satisfied with his badge entitling him to pass when it came to members of the delegation.

"And the secretary of the Security Council had to wait not one and not two minutes before the issue was finally resolved in his favour, and before that at least ten colleagues had passed him standing at the door," Kolesnikov noted.

Shoigu arrived with Putin and Russian ministers in Beijing on May 16. According to Kolesnikov's information, Shoigu was sitting on Putin's left at the narrow talks, and he was not present at the enlarged session, RBC noted.
